I have always dreamed about playing collegiate softball and I would love to represent our nation on the USA National team. My goal is to play softball at college and major in sports medicine. I am a good candidate for your team because I possess the characteristics of scholarship, leadership, and athleticism. I strive for excellence in all I do both on and off the field. There are many reasons why I am different from other recruits. The first is that I have the understanding of the demands of a student/athlete. I meet those challenges head on and demand success in all I do. I am a multi-sport athlete that trains year round in a variety of venues (volleyball, basketball, and softball). I recognize the mental aspects of the game and work hard to train my mind, body, and spirit. One program, Michael Johnson Performance Training at Spire Institute, has given me the physical edge in all the sports I participate in throughout the year. I've challenged my mental aspects of athletics and improved the physical components of my body through this training. Another reason I am different is my strong work ethic. I am committed to my athletic ventures; as well as my classroom responsibilities. I recognize the importance of academics and work hard to achieve excellence in the classroom. This fall I shadowed our MHS Athletic Trainer, Jessica Ryan, as a Student Trainer, and confirmed my passion to work with athletes after I graduate from college. I will continue to assist Ms. Ryan until I graduate in 2018. Lastly, I am a natural motivator and leader. I lead by example and provide a positive leadership role on the teams that I compete. My teammates rely on me for guidance and direction. This makes me a valuable asset to any program.
