Tara Senn '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Tara Senn. I am currently a junior at Downingtown East High School. I have been playing softball for 11 years. I am 5'10" and 205 pounds. I am a left handed pitcher and have been with my pitching coach for three full years. I have accomplished six MVP medals in the past 3 years, for pitching, and also my hitting and fielding at first base. I can offer many things to a team the most important being leadership. I was captain of my travel team two years in a row, as well as my high school Junior Varsity Team. I am very hardworking and will do anything to be the best I can be. I strive to be as good as I can, and I have aspirations of playing softball in college. I also love to teach others how to play the sport that I have worked so hard to play. I have a few choices for colleges I would like to attend. These schools are: Bloomsburg University, West Chester University, Immaculata University, University of Tennessee, Cabrini College, University of South California, Guilford University and Kutztown University. All of these schools offer the major(s) I would like to take, which are Elementary Education, Physical Education or Exercise Science. Also, all of these schools have a softball team. I am open to any type of school. Big or small, any division level. I just want to play the game and get a good education. I am hoping to achieve scholarships whether they be academic or athletic, because my family will be in financial need, because my dad is a self-employed landscaper and times are tough and they do not seem to be looking up anytime soon. I have many goals as far as being a student athlete goes. Most of all, I want to leave an impact on the team I play for. Playing as a freshman would be amazing, and it is a goal of mine. I will do anything I can to achieve my goals and be the best I can be.
