Maralee Caldana '20 Recruiting Profile

    I have played many sports throughout the elementary and junior high levels, but nothing gives me the satisfaction like softball.  When I finished my first junior high softball game, I removed my catchers gear and I had a clear vision that softball was the sport I wanted to play in years to come.  Every practice after that has been different.  I started to compete with myself to become a better athlete than I was the day before.  My coaches see the potential for me to play beyond high school and my vision is clear, I will work hard to accomplish my vision.

    I feel softball comes naturally to me as well as being a team player.  I respect my coaches and team and enjoy working as a team through successes and failures.  I feel every teammate and position is important and if not on the field, I am cheering for the players who are.  I enjoy helping my teammates when they struggle and I enjoy taking advice when I am struggling.  I feel that all these characteristics will make me a good asset to my future college team.
