Softball and I don't have much of a history beyond little league games when I was 6 or 7, as my parents always encouraged me to get involved, with many sports. After a very lengthy hiatus, freshman year of high school I decided to start up again. Softball was always a sport I was interested in, so I decided to give it a shot. Within the first season, I went from being the worst and least experienced on the team, to starting left field and as a team, making it to semi finals. I absolutely love the sport and have the best batting and on base percentage on my high school team as of the 2017 season. For only playing since freshman year, I am a quick learner with a lot of motivation and passion. Within three years, I have played 7 positions. The past two years our team as a whole has not done the greatest, but it taught me how to stay positive and cooperate while playing on a losing team. Despite our record, I continue to play the sport like I have never felt defeat. I always do what my coaches ask of me, even if that means being catcher for the first time ever, or stealing second base against an undefeated team. Academically, I would like to major in screenwriting for film, with additional studies in marketing and music.
Softball has changed my life, forcing me to face challenges that made me a better person.
