Personal Statement
My goal is to play softball at the most competition division that my athletic abilities will take me. Another goal of mine is to get a bachelors degree in special education or massage therapy and eventually get my masters degree in special education. I have a little experience in special education. There is a kid who attends my school and church that has Down syndrome and I love to help out with him.
One obstacle in my life that I have overcome is HUS. Even though I was young when I had it, it has made me a stronger person. It taught me to never give up and there is always a way. That is why I am the person I am today.
My greatest achievement so far is going 4 and 1 at the 2015 SD state softball tournament. One of my achievements outside of softball is when I made scarves and sold them for a profit of $505. All of the proceeds went to Children’s Miracle Network.
I would make a positive contribution to your program because I never give up. Even if I have tried a thousand times I keep trying until I get it. I have good academics and I get along well with others.
What I hope to gain from playing college softball is strong friendships, job interviews, and most of all a college degree!
