Hello, My name is Magenta Hammond. I've been playing competitive softball for the last 12 years with Extreme South Dakota. I am currently a senior at Harrisburg High School, Harrisburg South Dakota. As a 8th grader and a 9th grader, I was moved up to play in the Junior Varsity and Varsity State Tournaments. Sophomore, junior, and senior year I started on varsity.
I'm excited to see what my future holds for me in school, softball and life in general. Both on and off the field I have a strong work ethic because I know that in order to be able to go to college for this sport, I have to work my butt off not only in the sport but also in the classroom. Throughout most of elementary and middle school, I was in advanced classes which led to me getting high school credit after passing the end of course exams eighth grade year. This year I am taking three AP classes to add to the one I took freshman year. I make sure that school is my top priority before friends and school activities. My plan is to major in secondary education in college as I want to be able to make a difference in the lives of future generations.
