Mayela Fernandez '18 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to continue my education and play softball at the collegiate level. I'd like to have a Science major in Physical Therapy. I love kids so I will probably focus my major to work with kids with physical difficulties. A coach once told me how much she loved to watch me grow from being an underdog player to a leader in the lineup. If you want to grow as a person, as an athlete or as a student you need to set goals for yourself and make God be part of your life. Through him anything is possible, if you set your mind to the goal it can be achieved.

I love my family, I have three siblings, I enjoy family gatherings or going on vacation or camping and spend time with them. We love outdoors and I love to go out and fish! My dad is probably the most influential person in my life he's taught me to never give up and that's what I always try to do.
