Morgan McLarty '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello, Coach!  Are you looking for a competitor?  Are you looking for an athletic young lady with guts, determination, leadership and a good mind for the game?  What about a great student?  If that sounds like what you're looking for, that's exactly what I have to offer!  

I've just completed my sophmore year with the District 4-5A, Area Champion, Lubbock-Cooper High School Lady Pirates of Lubbock, Texas.  We had a great season and this year was one of my personal best ever!  I improved my batting average to .430 and was awarded All-District Defensive Player of the Year and Team Defensive MVP for my catching efforts!  My accolades also include All District Newcomer of the Year as a freshman.  I have a 3.80 GPA.

What makes me different, you may ask?  I'd tell you it's my knowledge of the game, my ability to recognize and predict situations before they happen and my profound respect for the relationships with my teammates and coaches.  I've also been told I'm very coachable and open to instruction and critique. Please understand that I am very interested in playing softball at the collegiate level and working towards a degree in allied health.  What an ultimate opportunity!  I look forward to learning even more about the game from a great coach and developing my skills to improve the team.  I will be fully committed to providing my best efforts to my education and the softball program that is willing to put their trust in me.
