Personal Statement
I am a 5’10 right-handed pitcher and first baseman from McLean VA and will graduate with the class of 2018. I recently joined the Virginia Glory Premier-Mertz 16u travel team and will continue playing as a starting pitcher on the Bishop O’Connell High School varsity softball team this spring. I played on the McLean Little League all-star team that made it to the World Series finals. I also have received awards for leadership and hard work including the Mary Kathleen Kelly Memorial Award presented to the player in McLean Little League with the most spirit and leadership on and off the field. I believe in working as hard as possible, practicing outside of practice, and especially, competing until the end.
When looking for a school I would like to go to a good academic school with a top softball program. I am undecided about a major but have been thinking lately about studying education and someday being a coach. As of now I am open to many different kinds of schools. Going into college I am excited to be a leader and make an impact on whatever team I play for.
