Future - I want to complete high school and study criminal justice for my undergraduate degree and then move into a masters degree program in forensic science. I want to play softball for a college or university that will immediately make me part of the team, a part of a unique family. Its important to me to not only play, but be part of the team among all the players and coaches. I would also like to represent my country, as my father did as a veteran, playing softball in the summer Olympics of 2020 or 2024 and win a gold medal.
Upon graduation from college, I would to follow in my father's footsteps working in the field of forensic science as well as being K-9 police woman. I am also interested in working with Special Needs children at a school as a Physical Education teacher. I would also love to be selected to play softball for the women's National team.
Academics - I have a 3.72 GPA and am a member of the National Junior Honor Society. I am currently enrolled in the Cambridge University college preparatory program at Brentsville District High School.
Athletics - I am the leader of my teams by fully representing myself not only on the field, but in school with regards to academics. I my father has taught me, to be a true leader I have to set the example for others to follow. I represent my school, community, and softball teams with professionalism, leadership, and respect. I have won 12 MVP awards from 2013-2016 and other awards from other teams, other coaches and even umpires. I won them not because I am good, but because I have a hard work ethic and a never give up attitude. I believe the other teams, coaches, and umpires see it and that is why I won the awards. However, regardless of any personal awards I have won, my main focus is being part of a TEAM. A real team that plays together, talks to each other, supports each other on and off the field.
Character - I am a very focused young lady, who knows what I want and am willing to work hard to achieve it. I have several role models; Jenny Finch, Sierra Romero, and my mom. My mom is the hardest working person I know, of course my father is there as well. However, my mother sacrifices everything for my education and softball. She works hard in taking care of our family as well as working two jobs in education. She does all of this with complete unconditional love, without regret or a single complaint. She is my hero. My dad is also a role model for me, but in a different way. My dad pushes me beyond the limits that I think I have. He not only makes me think on my own and make the right decision, but to understand why it is the right decision. He is a retired military veteran protecting our country. He is where I get my leadership from.
My parents lead me and sacrifice for me and my brothers and sister. They are my true role models and heroes. They make me who I am and who I want to be in school and on the softball field.
