Personal Statement
I've played softball ever since t-ball ended. I've known for awhile now that I wanna play college ball. I wanna take that next step. Not many people around where I live get the chance to go out and play, and make something of themselves. I wanna be one of the few.
Tenth grade was the the first year I was straight varsity. That year I applied to be captain and got the spot because my coach felt I was worthy. I'm hard working and very dedicated. I put a lot of effort into making not only myself better but also my teammates. I'm a captain who makes sure everyone improves and gets paid attention to.
I've continued to work hard to keep up my GPA. As classes get harder I put more time into studying to make sure I'm learning to the fullest. I also applied for the National Honors Society, which is a very prestigious group to be a part of at my school. I have also applied to take Intro to Psychology this summer online, through Community College of Vermont.
I'm open to going anywhere around the US for college. I wanna have the full experience. I want to go to a program where I'll learn to the fullest and where education can stay the most important to me. I would like to challenge myself in trying to play at the highest level possible, I don't just wanna settle. My parents have put a lot of time and money into my softball career and I just want to make them proud. I want my two younger sisters to continue to look up to me. I love hearing them say how they wanna be like me. Family is very important to me.
