Emilee Trudo '14 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was in first grade in my small elementary school, I have loved the game of softball. Sure, I started out playing T-ball, where my biggest goal was to swing the bat somewhere near the Tee, and my biggest success was not being distracted. But even then when I was so young, I still loved the game. Only later, as a junior in highschool, have I actually understood why I love the game, why I work so hard, and why I never give up. I play, because I love to. Not because of pressure or praise or to be with my friends. Every time I step onto the pitcher's plate, or into the batters box, stretch for a ball at first or run in for a bunt at third, I play with everything I have. Softball is my passion and I want to compete as long as I can. My goal is to play in college competitively and of course, get the best education I can. To me, Softball is not a game, it's a way of life, it is something I will have forever. And I know that when Im an "old lady", ill search for an "old lady" softball team to play on. Becuase ultimately, my goal is to keep softball in my life, forever.
