Personal Statement
Playing competitive collegiate softball while getting a quality college education has been a dream of mine since elementary school. I am working extremely hard to make this a reality for myself by putting numerous hours of time and effort into school and softball.
I am a diligent student and have maintained a GPA of 3.9 or higher since the start of middle school, while taking honors classes. I understand the importance of my education and where it will take me in life. In addition to my studies I am also a member of the National Junior Honor Society and volunteer in my community.
On the field, I have great hustle and am very coachable. I am always striving to become a better athlete and student of the game. I make sure to build in time for practice and conditioning at least 6 days a week, including lessons with my hitting/slapping coach, Marty Martin. Over the past few years I have made it a priority to play for some of the best organizations in my region. It is very important to me to find the perfect balance of great coaches and girls, and the opportunity to play in prestigious tournaments around the country. I currently play travel ball for Absolute Blast Fastpitch 16Gold, and recently started my high school season on Skyline’s varsity team. As a freshman I am extremely excited to be playing at the varsity level, and working with upperclassmen to better my game. Once the high school season ends I will be traveling to the Fireworks tournament in Aurora, ASA Gold nationals in Oregon, and PGF nationals in California.
I make sure to maintain a balance of academics and softball and am constantly working toward fulfilling my dream of becoming a collegiate student-athlete.
