Personal Statement
My name is Jesse Dupuis and I am a senior at Mt. Spokane High School in Spokane Washington. I have loved the game of softball from the very beginning. I started when I was 8 and never looked back. I played other sports competitively such as basketball, soccer and volleyball but by the end of my freshman year, I decided to focus solely on softball. I switched from volleyball in the fall to slow pitch softball, I play outfield for slowpitch, and was placed on the 1st Team All GSL both my sophomore and junior year. I am the starting pitcher for my Mt. Spokane High School for fast pitch, hold the lowest ERA for the Greater Spokane League last spring, and was awarded 1st Team All GSL last year.
I am very dedicated to both softball and my grades. I pitch several times a week pretty much year round and also take hitting lessons. My goal is to play softball at a athletically competitive school that will provide me with a typical college experience, and most importantly, a great education.
During my free time (which there isn't a lot of) I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love going to the lake ... any lake. I also enjoy reading and participating in School DECA. I compete for my DECa team and have won regionals several times, State once and went to Nationals in Tennessee.
I am very excited for my senior year and to see what the following year will bring for me.
