Brooke Heck Pitch...Personal Statement
Ever since I was little I knew I wanted to take softball to the next level. I've been playing softball since I was five and my dream is to play college softball.
I play softball for the Wisconsin Bandits out of Horicon over the summer and on the Varsity High School team in the spring and this is my favorite time of year because I love playing on a team. I love meeting the new girls on the team every year and I love playing with them. I think it also teaches me to respect all kinds of people and helps me take a leadership role on the team.
Academics are also very important to me. Science is my favorite subject and I want to apply that love for science to the medical field. In the future I would like to become a pharmacist.
Being from Wisconsin I happen to be a fan of Vince Lombardi and my all-time favorite quote from Lombardi is "The only place success comes before work is the dictionary." I know playing sports takes a lot of work, but I know I am willing to put in the time to become a great student-athlete in college.
