Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Sara Fredrickson
I attend Evansville High School. I have loved sports my whole life and there is just something about softball that I just can’t get enough of. It is so much of a team sport that I love being able to say I have eight other girls out there that have my back and we are able to work together. I work hard to get along with others and strive to be a great leader. I love the game of softball and I work hard to improve my knowledge of the game, and that helps me be more vocal on the field. I have learned a lot about how to handle winning and losing, and what it takes to get back on that field after you just lost and feel like crap but keep your head up and play with all your heart.
After my freshman season I set my goals high and worked very hard to achieve them. I was very honored in 2016 to be named first team all conference, district, and state, as well as being named team caption as a sophomore.
I finished this past school year with a 3.97 and was accepted into the National Honor Society. I am very proud of it, and my number one goal is to keep my GPA up as I continue to take harder classes throughout high school. I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically and athletically. I plan to major in business or education. Softball is a very important thing in my life, but I know that can only take me so far. I would like to get an education that will help me the rest of my life, but keep playing ball as long as I can.
