Personal Statement

I want to go to college to play softball. That is one of my greatest dreams. I have always loved sports and it would be a great privilege and honor to continue my sports career throughout high school and college. I want to graduate high school with good grades and some sort of achievement(Academics or sports related). I want to make my mark in OHS but also on Oconomowoc itself. I am going to strive to be a good role model. I want to be a person that people look up to rather than being looked down upon. At this point in my life, I would like to become a psychologist or health teacher. I enjoy the idea of helping people.

I started in the select softball program in 7th grade, on the U12 team. Before that, I was playing in recreational leagues. In 6th grade, a teammate of mine said that she was going to play select the next summer. I became interested in doing it myself. Therefore, I tried it. I loved it. I did it again the following year in 8th grade. I was on the U14 team. We did very well that season, placing in 3 out of the 4 tournaments we played in(2 first place finishes and one second place finish). I also was named MVP by the opposing team in the tournament that we placed second in. Our record that season was 25-7. This summer, I will be participating on this club team for the 3rd year as a freshman. I will be on the U16 team with my teammates from the years before. I played catcher my first year on the team because of the experience I had and my ability to play catcher. Therefore, I primarily play catcher on the select team.
