Personal Statement
My name is Jenna Gratz. I am 16 years old and a sophomore in high school (class of 2017). My coaches and teachers consider me an achiever, doing all that I can to be the best. I am greatly competitive in that way, putting in the extra work necessary, wanting to get the best out of myself in all that I do. On and off the field, I strive to be perfect in the effort I give. Growing up, I have learned to be comfortable with the uncomfortable, which makes it easier for me to go above and beyond my basic efforts.
I am also known to be a leader in any situation, by my teammates, teachers, coaches and peers. I take pride in the fact that I am adaptable in the classroom and on the field, so I can offer the necessary leadership to my team no matter the situation/position. If I can help my teammates in anyway, I will take that opportunity. I make an effort to work with everyone around me to make sure nobody is left behind. I lead by example, pushing past the point when everyone else has given in, hoping others will follow, while in the back of my mind thinking someone out there is putting in more work than I am somewhere.
As coaches, you read a lot of personal statements and see a lot of girls who seem similar to me. There is a difference, though. I am Jenna Gratz. I believe I have something that drives me differently than others. I appreciate you taking the time to read about me. I hope if there is something that has sparked your interest you will not hesitate to contact me.
Have a wonderful day,
Jenna Gratz
