Personal Statement
My name is Christina Paleka. I am a student-athlete at Catholic Central High School. I have played softball since I was five years old for my local little league program. Softball has played a major part in shaping the person I am today and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am absolutely in love with the sport and aspire to play at the collegiate level. I am a right-handed pitcher, outfielder, and utility infielder. As a utility player, I am willing to play any position in order to get playing time. I believe this ability is an asset for any college team I may play for in the future.
Currently, I hold a cumulative GPA of 4.2. Academics are my main priority and I aim to finish within the top of my graduating class in May of 2020. As well as excelling in academics, I remain involved as a member in several clubs at my school including Key Club, Student Ambassadors, the Faith in Action Team, National Honors Society, and the Art and Service Club. Outside of school, I engage in service projects such as volunteering at my local public library.
As a competitor on a college team, I would offer an intensive and contagious work ethic. Because of my relentless dedication, I would be sure to drive both myself and my teammates to be the best softball players possible. I intend to develop and progress as a player on and off the softball field by implementing personal discipline to achieve my set goals.
