Personal Statement
I have always been drawn to the sport of softball. Both of my parents were strong athletes (Mom with a full track scholarship and Dad who received an opportunity to play minor league baseball after high school) who inspired and instilled in me determination, confidence, and passion for the game. Their constant love, support, and encouragement are big reasons I aspire to play softball in college.
Coaches, teachers, family, friends, and team members often comment on my competitive nature and drive to do my best in every activity I take part in. I'm known to be an explosive and consistent player throughout the softball season and work well with others. I've also been acknowledged as a player who is easy to teach and learns quickly in any position with defined natural ability that stands out significantly. Many people articulate me as being exceptionally focused and a smart decision maker on and off the field, as well as a player who ceaselessly influences the team in a positive manner.
I strive to play softball in college within a program that allows me to be challenged and exercise my desire to compete. Overall, I am looking for a coach who shares the same passion for the game as I do. I value leaders that desire to push the team to be the best they can be. My goal during college is to explore a science major that enables and positions me well for medical school. As I grow physically and mentally throughout my collegiate softball career, I aspire to be an asset to the infield and batting line up.
