I am a passionate and hard working freshman pitcher from Sussex, Wisconsin attending Arrowhead High School. I play three sports; softball, basketball, and cross country, but softball is the sport I want to continue at the college level. This year will be my sixth season pitching for my travel team, and throughout the past five seasons I have been a leader on my team. I lead by action by always working hard, staying focused, and being a great teammate. I was recently honored with being voted team captain by my teammates and coaches for our high school basketball team.
"We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act but a habit." This is a quote that I live by on and off the field. Whether I am on the mound pitching, in the gym working on my shot, running cross country, working out in the weight room, or in school, I do my best at all times because I know it will pay off in the long run. My friends and teammates would not describe me as cocky or arrogant, but confident in my abilities. I believe that confidence can only come from knowing that I have prepared better and more than my opponent.
I currently have a 4.0 GPA and excel in math. I am not sure yet what career I want to pursue, but I think accounting or finance would be a good fit for me. My goal is to find a college that will allow me to excel in my academic goals and still play softball at the highest level possible. Thanks for taking the time to look at my NCSA profile!!
