NCSA would like to congratulate Stavion Lowe as May 2008 NCSA Student-Athlete of the Month! This 2009 expected graduate has already garnered national attention as a student-athlete to watch in the coming years. Among his recent honors is an invitation to play in the Under Armor All-American Game presented by ESPN.

A Brownwood, TX native, Stavion has established himself as a top offensive line recruit. Noticeably, Bill Conley, the former Ohio State recruiting coordinator says, "Lowe is a perfect example of what college coaches are looking for in their Offensive line recruits." The 6'5" 295lb standout is making impressions on college coaches around the country and has received over ten Division I offers to date.

While this offensive tackle's size is certainly daunting, above all his innate athleticism will make him a true impact player for the rest of his high school and collegiate career. An Academic All-District Player, Stavion has desires of pursuing a career in engineering. As he searches for a college that combines his love for football with his academic interests, Stavion certainly has a bright and exciting future ahead of him.

Female Student Athlete of the Month

Kalyn Johnson, a senior golfer hailing from Canton, Georgia has been honored NCSA Student-Athlete of the Month. This focused and determined golfer has positively impacted Sequoia High School as the varsity starter and #1 seed golfer for the past three seasons. This year, fulfilling her role as a true team leader, Kalyn helped her team finish 6th in the state and earned herself a 12th place finish among individuals respectively.

Kayln's eight handicap average has earned her the title of Female Golfer of the Year. However, her accomplishments and mental stamina are not limited to golf. In fact, this honor roll student also played for her high school basketball team and served her community as a Youth Group Leader.

With a verbal commitment to Anderson University, Kalyn will surely continue be an asset during her collegiate career. Best of Luck, Kalyn!
