Conrad Krutwig
H.D. Jacobs Highs School
Algonquin, IL
This upcoming basketball season is filled with anticipation to see Conrad Krutwig take the court during his final year at H.D. Jacobs Highs School located in Algonquin, IL. Conrad, a 6’6” power forward/center, averaged 15.4 point a game with nearly a 60 % field goal percentage. Not only was he an immense offensive threat for the Golden Eagles, but his allusive quickness and tenacious defense earned him a total of 20 blocks in 29 games last season. Krutwig played a critical role in H.D Jacobs High School finishing with a 26-3 record along with a regional basketball title last season. Although Conrad’s accolades on the court are remarkable he has still been able to maintain an impressive 3.0 GPA in the classroom.
With such an outstanding performance on and off the court last year his dream of playing D1 basketball became reality when he accepted with early decision to attend the University of South Dakota. There is no mistake in the type of athlete the University of South Dakota will be getting next year. Conrad is a fundamentally sound basketball player with soft hands and great vision, but he is also a student-athlete that knows the importance of academics. It will be exciting to see what Conrad will do his senior year to improve his already remarkable basketball skills.
