Below are examples of coach requests received by NCSA on a regular basis.

Baseball

Mercer University (NCAA I, GA)

We are still looking for a catcher who can handle a good pitching staff, and can throw with a 1200+ SAT score. Also, a middle infielder with the same academic criteria. That score allows for them to receive non-countable academic aid. All of our kids are from the southeast, w/ most from GA and FL. We rarely travel out of the area for recruiting, and the GA kids receive the HOPE $$$, which is only about 4,000 of the 30,000 it costs to go to Mercer, but it helps.

Men's Basketball

Central Michigan University (NCAA I, MI)

Thanks for asking. We have 1 to give in 07 and we are looking for an athletic wing. A 3/4 combo. If you can help or have some names please email or give a call.

Women's Basketball

New Mexico State University (NCAA I, NM)

Thanks for getting in touch with me. I would greatly appreciate at some point to talk with you in regards to our recruiting. I am trying to turn things around here at NMSU as the new recruiting coordinator and I could definitely use all the help I could get in doing so. I will give you a call and discuss some kids you have in mind and also let you know what I'm looking for.

Field Hockey

Siena College (NCAA I, NY)

Our needs for 2006 are mainly for field players - specifically for midfielders. Generally, we look for student athletes with a GPA of 3.6 or higher and SAT scores (old test) of 1200. Mainly, I'm looking for athletes who have a strong knowledge of the game and at least 7 years of playing experience. Speed, quickness and strong individuals skills are important, but more importantly we are looking for intelligent, well seasoned players.

Football

Vanderbilt University (NCAA I, TN)

Let's talk on the phone at some point this week. What is a good time and day for you. I would also like to visit with your CEO at some point as well. Thank you for your help.

Men's Golf

University of Tampa (NCAA I, NC)

We are a Division II school in the Sunshine State Conference that has won about two-thirds of the past 20 championships. We are primarily a walk-on school with very limited scholarships, usually in the $1000-4000 range. Most players secure additional scholarships through academics. To make the team there is open qualifying in the beginning of the fall semester for 7-12 spots depending on the quality of play, usually taking a 73-76 average to make the squad.

Women's Golf

Newberry College (NCAA II, SC)

We have not completed our recruiting by any stretch yet. We particularly need top female players, perhaps those who would be unable to start right away for DI teams, but who have won before and show promise. We can give them good packages, and they'll get lots of exposure to good golf. We might have room for a good male, 1 hcp or less, who has a history of winning, and is interested in a small DII school.

Men's Ice Hockey

Canisius College (NCAA I, NY)

The majority of our scouting/recruiting is done at the junior level. However, we do scout midget and high school showcases periodically. Junior hockey allows kids 1-2 more years of maturing and developing. Hope this helps.

Women's Ice Hockey

Connecticut College (NCAA III, CT)

We are looking for a goalie for next season, preferably someone with at lease an 1180 on the SAT or 24 on the ACT.

Men's Lacrosse

New England College (NCAA III, NH)

With this next year's class, I'm looking to add depth to our defense. At the same time, I will be looking for guys who can finish the ball and play at a high level in high school. I need to bring in guys at pretty much every position, but defense, attack and goalies are at the top of the list.

Women's Lacrosse

Bucknell University (NCAA I, PA)

Regions: Doesn't matter
Minimum GPA 3.0
Minimum SAT 1250 (Math/Verbal)

Men's Soccer

Davidson College (NCAA I, NC)

We are interested in student-athletes with a SAT score of 1300-higher, ACT score of 27-higher, top 10% of their class, and heavily involved in the community.
From a soccer stand point, we want state/regional/national ODP caliber players.

Women's Soccer

Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (NCAA II, IL)

I will be attending the Blue Chip Showcase this month, so please forward any bios of kids that are attending.

Softball

Eastern Illinois University (NCAA I, IL)

Thank you for that email. EIU is a Division I institution so we are looking for high level athletes that have been all-conference players and most are all-region and possible all-staters. That gives you an idea- they must be among the top in their
area- on their teams- in their conferences and so on. Thanks for your help.

Men's Swimming

Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (NCAA I, IL)

We will limit our numbers next year so we are looking for four really big scholarship type athletes. Our areas of need and times are 50fr-20.5, 100fr-45.0, 200 fr-1:39, 100fl-49, 200fl-1:49. We will obviously look at someone in other areas with times that are at the same level as the previous events. Should you have anyone at or close to these times please inform us.

Women's Swimming

Long Island University-C.W Post (NCAA II, NY)

We are working hard to recruit new talent and want to be sure that we are considered when working with clients. Please feel free to reach me to discuss the team and program, and any female swimmers that you are working with that are motivated to swim fast.

Men's Tennis

Sonoma State University (NCAA II, CA)

We need either in-state California kids with tennis skills and a willingness to go to class or out-of-state or international kids who will pay the $11,000.00+ in tuition each year and pass. California kids paying in-state tuition pay only $3,000.00 per year, so we are a better option for them. This is a good school in a very beautiful area. Our team plays a tough schedule. Last year we beat two Division I schools and had an All-American, who has ATP points now. We can only spend a total of $5,000.00 per year in scholarship money right now because of gender equity concerns and the fact that our student body is 65-68% female.

Women's Tennis

Grinnell College (NCAA III, IA)

Since Grinnell is so academically demanding, I would only be interested in players who have high GPAs (3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale) and high class rank (top 10%). Geography is not important. If you receive SAT and ACT scores, a good cut off for Grinnell would be 1250 for the SAT and 26 for the ACT. Thanks for your help!

Men's Track & Cross Country

Sam Houston State University (NCAA I, TX)

Short of actually watching an athlete in person, there is no other better method of evaluation than video in track and field. Times, distances, and heights are very helpful; but, seeing the athlete perform the skills is crucial in evaluating potential for the future.

Women's Track & Cross Country

Tennessee Tech University (NCAA I, TN)

I have decided to increase the number of student-athletes in our women's cross-country program. I can provide two nice scholarships to qualified young ladies who are committed to academics and who would like the opportunity to compete in cross country at the Division I level. We are located in Middle Tennessee and compete in the Ohio Valley Conference. If you know some young ladies who have not finalized their college plans yet, please refer their names to me and I will contact them.

Men's Volleyball

Lakeland College (NCAA III, WI)

My biggest needs at this point are outside hitters with offense. I have some decent ball control players, but they lack length and power at the position. A tall blocking setter is also on the wish list, but we will likely need a good setter regardless of height. A great libero could probably challenge our current players.

Women's Volleyball

Marquette University (NCAA I, WI)

I appreciate your note and continuing to update us with information about kids who could potentially be Marquette Volleyball athletes. With our move this fall to the Big East Conference and our desire to compete at the highest level, we are continuing to look for athletes who play above the net. Most often, we are looking for kids who are 6'0" or taller if they are outsides or middles and 5'10" or taller if they are setters. We are also looking for athletes who are approach touching from 9'7 to 10' and better. Thanks again for all your help! I look forward to receiving more information from you about outstanding volleyball athletes in the future!

Wrestling

Rutgers University (NCAA I, NJ)

We are looking for above average academic kids who can wrestle quality D1. Priority weights are 133,157, and 197 and hwy. We are partially funded so family will have to contribute some $$.
