NCSA developed the Scouting Report so that student-athletes may receive evaluations from college coaches quickly and efficiently. Once evaluated, students who hope to earn not only recruiting opportunities, but college cross country scholarships, as well, will gain maximum exposure to the schools of their choice. When there are two great performers in the same family, it’s hard to choose just one for appreciation. This is the case with Jay and Bobby McIllece who are junior distance runners from Cedar Park, Texas.
Jay and Bobby have been running for their goals since they can remember. Always pushing each other to succeed. Jay focuses on all events from the mile to the 5k to the 2k steeple. Jay was a regional qualifier as a sophomore in cross last year and has a current personal record of 15:28 this year. His best mile and two mile times are 4:45 and 9:28 respectively. Bobby also qualified for regionals last year and is running sub 16’s this year in cross country. His focus on the mile and two mile have earned him success on the track as well.
