What is the Virtual Tryout?

NCSA and Game Plan developed the Virtual Tryout to help student-athletes get evaluated by college coaches quickly and efficiently.  The Virtual Tryout allows college coaches to have a streaming video a student-athletes' highlights, delivered directly to their email boxes.

Today, when a student-athlete enrolls with NCSA they submit a DVD copy of their video to be evaluated and professionally edited by a sport specific Recruiting Coach. Recruiting Coaches have expertise in college recruiting and they communicate with college coaches daily in order to remain up to date on exactly what coaches are looking for when they receive video of student-athletes. The footage will be compressed into a 3-5 minute highlight film by Game Plan and then hosted on an NCSA site.

The Recruiting Coach uses permission based email to distribute the Virtual Tryout to college coaches at the schools the student-athlete qualifies for. The Recruiting Coach also provides the student-athlete with a viewership analysis.

A college coach is now able to evaluate the student-athlete immediately from the convenience of their desk!
