How to Log and Submit Video

In order to assist your Recruiting Coach with the creation of your Virtual Tryout, all previously unedited game film must be logged. Please use the following directions when logging your game film:

  • Only DVD footage will be accepted. NCSA will not accept VHS, HI-8, or Mini-DV Tapes.
  • Reset the counter of your DVD Player to 0:00 before hitting play on your DVD. Before logging your footage, the very beginning of the DVD must coincide with the 0:00 mark on your DVD Player in order for your Recruiting Coach to accurately find the chosen plays.
  • Write down your position, uniform color, and jersey number at the top of the log.
  • Record the time the play starts, the time it finishes, and a brief description of the play you would like to highlight.
  • NCSA will only accept one game DVD per student-athlete. This game DVD must be no more than 2 hours in length.
  • Double check your times before turning in your DVD to your Recruiting Coach.

If you have any questions about this procedure, do not hesitate to contact your Recruiting Coach.
