Going from being an underdog and not playing a lot my freshman year to my sophomore and junior year where I became a starter was the highlight of my high school career. During my freshman year I was a weak and not very well trained player and my sophomore year I became a player who rebounds and attacks the basket. The most influential part was when the JV and Varsity coach decided that I would play more if I was on jv and I would learn more practicing with varsity. I began to use this as motivation to work and train harder while gaining skills through working with a personal trainer.
I have had the privilege to play basketball for a great program like Liberty High School’s. They taught me the strength, determination, teamwork, and leadership that I have today. The type of college I am looking for is one that can help me get my Bachelor of Science in Nursing while I am playing basketball for their program. I believe that my athletic ability as well as my determination and mindset to get better daily can impact your team.
