When I was in the 5th grade I knew I wanted to get better at basketball. I started doing one on one training and I tried out for a travel team that summer. I have played travel ball and school ball ever since. In 2020 when Covid hit, we didn’t get to play summer ball but I kept working at home and our school season was cut short that next year due to covid also. That spring I tried out for an AAO Flight team with about 100 other girls. I didn’t know anyone, I live 1.5 hours from the facility and knew it would be a commitment but I was willing to do it. I was picked the day of tryouts to be on the team and I’ve been with them since! This will be my 3rd summer playing for AAO FLIGHT 2025!
The summer before my Freshman year of high school I worked hard to earn a starting position on the High school Varsity team. I was the only Freshman playing full minutes with Juniors and Seniors. Where my stats in shooting wasn’t always huge, my eye for the floor and ball movement helped our team out. The summer between Freshman and Sophomore year I was playing for AAO and I tore my ACL on June 25th, had surgery July 12th and I worked hard in PT and was back to playing by the 1st week of January. I missed 1 conference game my Sophomore season. I wasn’t playing full minutes, but I contributed to my team by cheering on my teammates on the bench and helping them be aware of what's going on the court. I am excited to play my 3rd summer with AAO Flight 2025. My goal is to be back 100% for my school season to start my Junior year!
My goal has always been to play college ball for two reasons. I love the game and I would love for it to help me achieve my career goal! Even before I had my injury I thought I wanted to be a Physical Therapist or a Coach and now even more after being through the process of an injury. My PT’s and Coaches have been so helpful and great getting me back to being able to do what I love!
