As a person with immense focus and commitment, I have spent the past several years working to develop my basketball game while continuing to excel in the classroom. I have been blessed over the last four years playing with one of the top women's basketball clubs in Arizona. In high school, I was the only Freshman on Varsity, I had to prove myself immediately to the coaches and veteran players to gain their respect and earn significant playing time. I took the lessons learned that first year into my Sophomore year, where as a starter I was able to emerge into a leadership role. I was voted captain of my HS team. My leadership style in both my club and high school team is not "rah rah", but rather one of always doing the right thing and leading by example through my day to day work ethic and grind. I do not have to be micromanaged as a student/athlete, you can always count on me to have a strong moral compass, and be dependable and reliable. I am mature beyond my years, highly coachable and self motivated.
While basketball is a major part of my life, my education is my number one focus. I take pride in my strong GPA and look forward to continuing my success in education and athletics in college. My goal is to graduate from high school with a 4.0 GPA and find a college that fits me personally, athletically and educationally.
