Personal Statement

My short term goal is to excel in my academics while building my foundation and experience in the sport medicine career field, which is my long term goal.  At the moment, I am an athletic trainer aide for my school's athletic program, giving me an opportunity to confirm and verify my career interest and path.  I have enjoyed playing basketball for over 10 years and have dedicated time and effort to improve my skill sets.  I hope to do what I love (playing basketball) to reach my career goal (athletic trainer at the collegiate or professional level) by obtaining a scholarship and earning a degree in the field of sports medicine.
