Personal Statement
My name is Elizabeth Tolbert. I am in my senior year at Manteca High School in Manteca, CA. I have played basketball competitively since I was in third grade and it has become my goal to continue playing basketball competitively at the college level.
My immediate family consists of my mother, two brothers and my maternal grandparents. All of whom are extremely supportive of me including my desire to go to college wherever basketball may take me.
I have been raised by my mother, a coach herself, and have been instilled with core values of honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, and responsibility, and perseverance, courtesy and good judgment. My family is very important to me and essential to who I am and the values I possess.
I would sum up my basketball game the following way, I am the role playing work horse of any team. I am confident in my ability to do the dirty work and get on the ground, fight for a rebound, take a charge and look to feed my teammates the ball whenever they are open as well take my own shots when they are there.
