Personal Statement

Being a first generation college bound student is a big deal to me and my family. I plan to graduate from high school with honors and be in the top nine percent of my graduating class. When in college I plan to major in kinesiology then later i will become a Sports physician where i will own my own clinic under me will be, physical trainers, Sports instructors etc. I love and admire the game and I am very excited and eager to play on a college level. I enjoy playing very aggressive defense and creating offensive opportunities for my teammates as well as myself. There is nothing more fufilling than executing a play correctly to get the bucket. I will be a good candidate for any team because i work hard and nothing makes me more happy than being on a court where i am able to showcase my talents and being on a team with young ladies who have the same passion as myself. I was taught to work hard at everything I do and when doing something do it with all mind, body, heart, and soul, succeed or fail i would not be able to say i did not try my best. As a person that is something i live by, which means I will always give 110 percent.

As far as character goes I am confident, competitive, and coachable. I will always try my best in whatever i do whether it is basketball or academics, and if i dont know how to do something i will work hard to perfect it and make that flaw an asset. Athletics has been something that has always came easy for me, aside from basketball i have played softball, volleyball, ran and jumped for track and field, and dabbled in soccer. What makes me different from others is that i have managed to learn the basics of each of theses sports and used them as an advantage when playing basketball. Whether it is running for track to increase my stamina or learning to slide in softball to be able  to out hustle any opponents on the basketball court.

I am a well rounded both academic and athletic wise. Whatever college that accepts me for higher education and an opportunity to play basketball WILL NOT be disappointed.  I plan to do outstanding work in both areas.  I WILL SUCCEED!
