Personal Statement
I am committed and dedicated to my academics. I have come to love the sciences, and even though some classes have challenged me, I am still intrigued by them; especially in the area of Sports Medicine and Kinesiology. This past summer I was an assistant athletic trainer for an internationally recognized Cancer and Exercise Program being held at the Santa Barbara Athletic Club. My interest in physiology/anatomy grew after I helped out with the Cancer Well-fit Program (a program designed for those dealing with cancer; it helps them to regain muscle and stay healthy through the various types of treatments they may be receiving).
I love the outdoors and I am always looking for adventure. In my spare time I also enjoy reading motivational/leadership books as I find they help to inspire me. I value being a mentor to young children and underclassmen at my high school. Now that I am a part of the Campus Ministry team at my high school (a leadership course) I hope to and look forward to, having a positive impact on people around me.
