Maria O'Byrne '10 Recruiting Profile

Basketball is the spark in my life; there is nothing else in the world I would rather do. This passion translates into a strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to improvement. Unfortunately, I suffered a knee injury that required reconstructive surgery in March of 2009. I dedicated myself to intense rehabilitation over the entire summer and subsequently missed the AAU season. As hard as this entire process has been, both physically and psychologically, it has made me a stronger person and a better athlete. This setback has only pushed me to be more determined to succeed and continue my career beyond the high school level. Although I missed out on valuable recruiting time this year, I am much stronger and I would be a valuable asset to a college team. I love the game, I am coachable, and I learn very quickly. I am willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to get to the next level. I appreciate you taking your time to consider how I would fit into your program. Thank you, Maria O'Byrne
