Spencer Shore '17 Recruiting Profile

I love everything about the game of Basketball. The feeling of making the crucial pass for the score, the lock down defense to create a turnover, the game winning shot, the free throw to ice it and of course the comradery of teammates, friendships made, battles won and lost in practice and games. This sport is for me. It's been what I've been doing since I'm five years old. I've played and started on my Middle School team since 6th grade. I've played and started varsity since 9th grade for my High School team. I've played on six travel teams since I was in 5th grade, always playing up, sometimes two to three grade levels. My father, my greatest fan, always said you need to play against bigger, older, stronger and quicker girls, if you want to be challenged and improve as a player. I believe that playing for the six travel teams gave me the opportunity to be seen, trained, evaluated and coached by many different sets of eyes. I truly believe that it was a great benefit for me to see, listen and try many different things as I was developing my game. Some people never discover their passion, but I consider myself lucky, because early on I discovered mine - playing, learning and being involved in Basketball.  The next step on my Basketball journey is College. Going to College to play the sport I love and be a part of a team is what I've been working towards and dreaming about for years. I hope to continue to grow and develop to be the best player, teammate and person I can be.
