Julie Fournier '15 Recruiting Profile

From the moment I picked up a basketball for the first time as a toddler, I fell in love. I began spending all of my free time playing basketball. In pre-k while all my friends wanted to go on the playground outside, I would spend my recess inside on the basketball court running back and forth shooting lay ups. My love for basketball has only grown and I have developed a passion to be the best. I have a relentless drive to work on my game. Although my passion and drive are great attributes, that is not what separates me from other student athletes. What separates me is my actions. I'm a very strong willed, hard worker, and I have always held myself to a high standard of excellence on and off the court. I'm very meticulous and diligent when it comes to working hard. I believe in doing things the right way. That includes doing everything it takes to get even the slightest edge over my competition, from eating healthy, to lifting weights and spending countless hours in the gym. My junior year, I dove for a loose ball and cracked one of my right ribs and then hit the game winning shot right after that. I even played for the rest of the season without realizing I had a serious injury. I have mental and physical toughness that will help me for any challenges I will face. I'm a student of the game, committed to excellence in everything I do. I can't wait to learn so much more and pursue my potential playing basketball in college.
