Personal Statement
I am a three sport varsity athlete including my freshman, sophomore and junior years and have been a starter all three. I am very good with time management and prioritizing. I am a driven individual who is focused on achieving my goals; my ultimate goal being to play basketball at the collegiate level while pursing a degree to prepare me for the Medical Field. My passion for basketball drives me to be competitive and work hard at reaching my full potential. I am coachable and extremely hard working. I'm a player who worries more about the team goals than personal goals. I understand that working hard doesn't just apply to athletics but also in academics. I work hard to reach my full potential in the classroom as well. I have shown leadership characteristics in my school setting by being a member of the student council, and the National Honor Society.
I started playing basketball when I was five years old. As a fifth grader, I began playing on my school's middle school team. As a seventh and eighth grader, I was pulled up and used for Varsity tournament play at the end of the season. As a freshmen, I was a starter on my varsity team. My eighth grade year I received MVP for my middle school team and my tenth grade year I received MVP for my varsity team. As an eleventh grader I was awarded FCAL Conference MVP for the 2014-2015 season.
