Personal Statement
Hello I am Kevona Gay I just finished my Associate at Miami Dade College while playing basketball with Coach Susan Summons, my future goal is to advance to a 4 year college and earn a degree to become self sufficent to become a adult who will be able to live and enjoy life. I help youths at my neighborhood park with basic basketball skills and have done some volunteer work with different organizations. I have been playing Basketball since the age of 8. In middle school I started playing Club basketball which by then I really developed the love of the game and enhanced my ball playing skills. My High School freshman year I played on the varsity team which was a step up from middle school basketball. By my junior year I was one of the team leaders of my high school basketball team and advanced to another level of ball playing. I am a senior now and plan to take my ball playing to still another level and plan to go on to play on the college level. Basketball has been part of my whole life from a young age while growing up watching my older sister and brother play the game and I plan for it to be a part of my future. I am looking forward to play at the next level.
