College is my first step to achieve my long-term goals and aspirations. I want to attend four years of college at a prestigious school that will give me intellectual growth, personal growth, social growth, and career preparation. I want to major in Sports Medicine because I have a passion for sports and a desire to help others. Besides my academic goals, I aspire to play college basketball with a well-rounded team that has a competitive athletic program. Currently, I play on a high school varsity team at William T. Dwyer and I'm performing exceptionally. I hope to further my interest in this sport by being a student athlete in college.
What makes me a good candidate for your team?
As I reflect on the many years I have put into this game, I can't picture where I would be without basketball. Basketball is my passion and has shaped my character and it has allowed me to bloom into a leader. I’ve had a diversity of experiences through basketball. It has helped me to understand myself and build a fire in my heart for not only the game, but sports in general. Basketball has turned me into a hard worker, tactful thinker and a believer.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?
I never give up or give in through adversity nor do I weaken under pressure. Basketball has given me an optimistic nature. It has lead me to become strong-minded, not only on the court, but in life. I am a motivated student that maintains a 2.8 gpa. I have a love for the arts and health science. I've earned an Academic Scholarship with Take Stock in Children and also with the Johnson Scholars Program because of my academic performance.
