My father and AAU coach both have influenced me to use basketball as a tool to help me get to the next level in my higher education. I first became interested in basketball when I was in the fifth grade when my now AAU coach was persistent about me trying out for the team. I was a little reluctant to do it because I had a not so good tryout with a different team the year before. My father was key into helping me overcome my unsureness to tryout for basketball again. Some things that I have come to find out about myself through playing sports is that I play the game of basketball with a lot of passion, emotion and that I am a true competitor. I am also learning how to become a role player and doing whatever it takes to win games and also learning how to maintain my composer through adversity.
Academically I am right where I set out to be in high school with making the principal's or high honor roll my freshman year. I also have aspirations of graduating valedictorian my senior year. Collegiately I have goals of receiving a degree in business and further my aspirations in becoming and entrepreneur. Athletically I want to be apart of a championship level team and be the best competitor I can be to help any team I choose to win multiple championships.
