Personal Statement
It's 2023 and I'm incredibly excited to be coming back after an ACL injury I sustained last year. I've spent the last year healing, training and conditioning, while finding ways to keep a ball in my hands every day of my recovery. I'm back stronger, faster, and have been competing on the court with my AAU sisters!
Overcoming obstacles isn't new to me. Having moved schools 4 times across 4 states I've learned a lot about getting out of my comfort zone, facing adversity, and developing relationships. I've had to keep my grades high in new schools while also adjusting to new friends, new teammates and new coaches. What I've learned is that commitment, trust, dedication, and having fun along the way leads to success both in the classroom and on the court.
Things to know about me are that I am 100% committed to my academics as well as basketball. I hold myself accountable for giving my all to succeed at both. My teammates are my sisters - I always look to support them, share success with them, and make them laugh in the locker room after we leave it all out on the court.
I am also incredibly thankful for my family. My older brother has been my biggest fan and my parents have supported me in everything I do. I don't take that for granted and know that others are not as fortunate.
