De'sha Benjamin '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is De'sha Benjamin and I have been playing basketball since the age of 5. My mother, Crystal Davis, my father Timmie Benjamin was my first inspiration when they were playing basketball. Both have a big part in my training to become one of the best women basketball players in my school. I am currently an 9th grader at Laney High School, while playing for them I am hoping to win the championship for 2014-2015. I play for two AAU teams the GA Stars in Augusta, GA and Carolina Lady Sparks in Hartsville, SC. During the summer, my father's trainning on fundamentals, help me jumps the scales to be and elite player at my school. I am determined to be successful in basketball as well as my education. I am also on the track team, where I participate in the triple-jump for the field event. In that event I have always placed first in my class. I am studying hard to bring my grade higher than a 3.0, because I know without good grades, I cannot be successful in either of my sports. I thank the Lord for my mother and father for all of their hard work in preparing me to be a success.
