Personal Statement
I didn't start playing basketball until I was 9 years old. Watching my uncle play when he was in high school kind of sparked my interest in the sport. Basketball has taught me many things that I will carry throughout my life such as to not be selfish but to also hold myself as well as others accountable. It's taught me good sportsmanship, leadership, and the true meaning of a sisterhood. My high character is what sets me aside from other recruits. Academically, I'm a very driven and focused student. My collegiate goal is to major in Physical Therapy and minor in Forensic Science.
I would be considered a good candidate for a team because I am a leader on the court and have a high basketball IQ. Also, I think its important to put the extra work in outside of practice because that is where good players become great. Additionally, I am a coach-able player that has the ability to quickly adjust to changes that my coach may give in key situations of a game. Being a 5'8" guard, I have the athletic ability to defend multiple positions and score anywhere on the court. Finally, I live by the motto good, better, best. Never let it rest, until your good is better, and your better is your best!
