Personal Statement
My name is Brandee Burton. I am originally from Kaua`i, Hawai`i. I am currently a sophomore at Feather River College (FRC) in Quincy, CA. FRC is a junior college, and I plan to continue playing basketball at a 4-year after this school year. My goal is to work hard in the classroom and on the court in hopes of earning a scholarship. Throughout high school, I've played positions 1-4, and in college 1-3. I am a coachable and flexible athlete and can easily adapt to new concepts.
My goal is to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science. I would like to pursue a career in coaching and working with youth as a assistant coach or strength and conditioning instructor. I have been a camper of NBC Camps for 7 years, and a volunteer coach with NBC for the past 3 years. I have also coached community basketball for 4 years.
I assist my dad with his non-profit organization each summer as he host's NBC Basketball and Volleyball Camps on Kaua`i. In the summer of 2017, my dad and I took a group of student athletes to Spokane, Washington where they participated in a overnight week long basketball camp at Whitworth University. We also participated in a official tour of Gonzaga University. The purpose of this trip was to give the students a college experience.
