Personal Statement
Hello, I am Kiersten Rasmussen, a 5'11 forward from Soda Springs High School, class of 2017. I have had the opportunity to be a varsity player since my freshman year. My love for basketball began when I was in the 3rd grade. In 2015, my team won the 2A State Championship, making history for the Soda Springs Lady Cardinals. We finished out the season with a 23-4 team record. The following year we returned to state and received 2nd place. I just finished out my season for the 2016-2017 year with a 25-5 team record, 6th straight district champions and brought home 3rd place at state. Also, I was just voted 2017 2A DIstrict 5 player of the year as well as 1st team this year and last. I am a strong student with a 3.52GPA and am interested in pursuing a degree in physical therapy. My competitive spirit and strong rebounding skills are an asset for my team. While I am a fun loving and energetic person, I am fiercely competitive and a great team player who plays to win. I believe I have the drive, ability and ambition to play at the college level. I would love the opportunity to talk to you further about your program and how we could benefit each other.
