Personal Statement
I am a 5'10 senior shooting guard who can also play the small and power forward. I attend Lake Zurich High School in Illinois and was a starter for the varsity team the past three seasons and led the team in scoring my sophomore year. I would consider myself to be a very dedicated and skilled player. I have spent hours working on my game because I want to become the best player I can possibly be. I constantly stay after practice to get extra work in and spend most of my free time at a gym. I would love to have the opportunity to play basketball at the college level.
I am constantly striving to improve my game offensively as well as defensively. I can shoot the three or drive to the basket, whether it be off the pass or created on my own. I also excel at looking up the floor and finding an open man whether it be off of a fast-break or in a half-court set. The other thing I enjoy is being responsible for guarding the best player by shutting them down, but also not allowing them to touch the ball. I love the challenge and competition.
I feel the thing that has always made me different is my level of dedication to whatever I'm working on, whether it is in the classroom or on the court. I value the friendships that I have made and will continue to make through basketball but I also the value the friendships that I have kept outside of basketball.
I would love to play basketball as well as receive an exemplary college education. I would also love to attend an academically challenging university where I can continue to play the game I love. Currently the majors I am interested in pursuing are psychology and pre-med.
