My name is Courtney Jacobsen. I would love the opportunity to play college basketball at any level. Basketball has been in my life for as long as I can remember and I hope to play the sport I love for as long as possible.
I have started varsity since my freshman year of high school. When I was a freshman I was placed on the all-conference second team. My sophomore year I was picked to be on the all-conference first team. My junior and senior year I hope to remain on the all-conference first team and lead my team to a sectional title. The conference I am in is one of the hardest in Indiana with at least four to five teams every year in the top twenty-five in the state. I lead my team in scoring as a freshman and scoring and steals as a sophomore. Rick Bolus’ Basketball Recruiting Service has me listed in the best of the rest category for Indiana’s top rising prospects for 2013-14.
I am a junior this season and hope to be in the top ten percent academically at my school. Right now I hope to either become a teacher or an athletic trainer. ?I know they are two very different fields, but I love helping others learn and I also enjoy helping those who are injured. Currently I am in two clubs for school; Keyettes which revolves around volunteer work and helping those in need and National Honor Society which is a group of students with a high GPA that volunteer. I enjoy being in both groups because they give me the opportunity to help others.
