Shakira Harford '21 Recruiting Profile

My goals for potential colleges is to showcase who I am. the hard work, achievements, dedication and self discipline that is put into perfecting my craft.  Academically  I have taken many duel and  honors courses.  athletically I have played basketball for Springs Valley High School since 6 th grade I grew stronger in rebounds, shooting and good defense I was chosen to play varsity from my Sophomore year I became a power forward for Springs Valley ladyhawks with this accomplishment I worked everyday getting  better, stronger, and faster. Moving forward I wanted more so I keep grinding and  seeking perfection  everyday. I have also ventured and played basketball for Indiana red in Bloomington Indiana under coach Rob Norris. Indiana Red has went to showcases in Cincinnati where I was notice by a coach from Penn State.

when people ask,  what makes you different from other athletes ?  I say, I don't stop. "It takes drive.  push yourself  to improve everyday.  I will never be satisfied because there is always something to improve on.  It takes discipline weather it is running steps, shooting 100 free throws a day,  you put in the time, a player must know there are others out there just as hungry and I need to be a top notch.  at the end it's worth it because I'll know that I worked hard to reach where I am  now but I got to keep on working. I also have just recieved all conference for this years season.
