Sports have taught me a great deal about life. How to be a team player, how to work hard to accomplish goals, how to stay positive, and how to never give up. Within sports, a place that is important to me is the basketball court. The reason it is important to me is that it is where I spend most of my free time. The more time I spend there, the more I can improve my skills and work hard to get better. Every time I step on the court, I learn something new. The basketball court has taught me dedication, leadership, and how to stay positive. These are life-skills that will carry me through years to come.
Growing up, I was very determined to strive for perfection. The more I'm on the basketball court, the more I can perfect my skills and get better. This dedication to the court has helped me realize that not every game, whether on the court or in life, is going to go perfect. It is at those times that I learn the most. I must be focused, dedicated and continue striving for perfection through my hard work to push through the ups and downs that we are dealt in sports and in life. With my high attention to detail, I continue to perfect the skills and learn from the lessons that are in front of me.
I have a strong drive to understand the strategies of the game and the opportunities that present themselves in basketball. I enjoy looking for ways to take advantage of those opportunities. In addition, it is important for me to be a leader on the court. I'm a vocal player that wants to help influence the culture and guide the team on the court. I want to be a role model and help support my team by guiding them through the strategies of the game and finding ways for our team to be successful.
